The Parazin Building
208 Mill Street • Rochester, NY 14614
Residential and commercial space

This is one of the city’s oldest buildings and the first in Brown’s Race, which was originally a two-story building constructed c. 1826. Powered by the Triphammer Mill, it was home to the Selye Fire Engine Company and later used for lantern manufacturing and shoe-pattern production, then an office equipment company. Today it offers 14 contemporary loft-style apartments with onsite tenant storage and a small gym, with 14 parking spaces adjacent to the building. The ground floor is occupied by the Rochester Fringe Festival, one of the city’s premier arts events.

The Gorsline Building
4 Commercial Street • Rochester, NY 14614
All commercial Class B office space

This seven-floor, 26,400 sq. ft. building located at the edge of the Genesee River originally housed the Rochester Steam Gauge and Lantern Works, which was destroyed by a fire in November 1888. Part of the first and second floors remained standing, and William Gorsline created his new factory building on that granite and stone foundation. It was restored by Ben Kendig in the early 1990s and today it’s home to some of Rochester’s premier high-tech companies— Wire3, Hunt Engineers & Architects, Bryant Accounting and LMT Technology Solutions, with extraordinary views of the amazing urban waterfall.
